Talk about starting the week off right: Capt. Larry Brudnicki, commander of the U.S. Coast Guard vessel Tamaroa during the 1991 Perfect Storm, had the crowd reeling with enthusiasm at the American Trucking Associations (ATA) Safety, Security & Human Resources National Conference & Exhibition. The event was held Oct. 24-26 in Oklahoma City, OK.
The following ATA announcement — warning truckers to avoid Day of Rage protests scheduled for today, July 15th — was sent to us from the Southeastern Transportation Security Council (SETSC).
TO: All ATA GFC
RE: Security of your drivers, equipment and freight.
Please advise your security and safety directors of the times and locations below that would be prudent to avoid on Friday, July 15, owing to organized "Day of Rage Protests Across America".
This year’s American Trucking Associations conference in Little Rock, Arkansas was one of the largest conferences ever held by ATA, with a sold out exhibit hall of 55 companies and more than 350 people in attendance.
As one of the proud sponsors of The North Carolina League of Transportation and Logistics Conference in Myrtle Beach, SC, we at Electric Guard Dog were there for the event. Congratulations to Fred Piercy, Sr. of CV International for receiving the Bill H. Teague Lifetime Achievement Award — well deserved.
