We can help with NERC-CIP compliance

Utility and Telecommunications

The hunt for copper is the main reason thieves target utility and telecommunication facilities.

An Electric Guard Dog security system - a security fence inside an existing permanent fence - is designed to stop this kind of theft before it happens.

Specifications:

Site

Each installation is custom fitted to the site. We take into consideration all aspects of your site's topography and needs: size and location of the site, existing structures, possible theft entry points, employee accessibility and security needs.

Entry Points

We can arm any kind of gate: swing, roll, electric, ornamental. Whatever you got, we can hook up to it.

Access: key fob, or keypad/key switch which is installed inside a locked, monitored and tamperproof box; remote arm/disarm capabilities through internet or PDA.

System

The Electric Guard Dog is battery powered (12V marine) and solar charged. An energizer gathers voltage from the battery and discharges it every 1.3 seconds.

If solar panel(s) are unplugged or damaged, our security system still secures your site for a minimum three days up to five days and that's with everything (alarms, sirens, activation) going.

Every installation is shielded to prevent interference.

Alarms and Monitoring

Cellular units connect the protected site to the monitoring center.

Cells can be installed inside the building in a locked, tamperproof, monitored box, or outside in a weatherproof, monitored, tamperproof enclosure.

Monitoring loops connect every component of our system. For example: If the energizer drops below 1.3 seconds, the voltage alarm sounds. If the key box is tampered with, an alarm sounds.

Alarms are silent and/or standard, or we can install louder alarms that can be heard a mile away.

Our monitoring system integrates with existing security electronics and monitoring systems. If you have your own system in place, we will run our system also for programming and trouble shooting purposes. We provide relays to alert other systems of alarms.

Safety

Electric Guard Dog operates at ½ the power allowed by the international standards for electric fencing. (IEC #60335-2-76)
