Electric Guard Dog cinches a security deal with Vanguard Trucks for all locations nationwide
COLUMBIA, SC - January 10, 2012: Electric Guard Dog and Vanguard Trucks have signed a deal for all Vanguard locations to be secured and protected by the Electric Guard Dog system, the company’s flagship product and service.
Dustin Smith, Internal Auditor for Vanguard Trucks, commented on the deal. “I’d been looking to enhance our security situation for some time. While cameras and beams will deter some thieves, there are plenty more that won’t. Getting around cameras or beams is pretty easy, so it’s just a matter of time until you get hit. When I saw the Electric Guard Dog, I realized this was a whole new way of looking at security: if we don’t want you in, you’re not getting in. And financially, it made sense. While we’ve haven’t had a great deal of theft at our locations, we had six trucks stolen from an off-site, privately owned storage facility last year. We realized it was cheaper to pay for the Electric Guard Dog than it was to pay the deductible on just two stolen trucks.”

Installation of the new Electric Guard Dog security systems is set to commence early this year.
