The ARA Convention and Expo is the premier event of the auto recycling industry. Running for 72 years, this year’s show featured a whopping 109 exhibitors and 1,000 attendees who traveled from as far away as the UK and Australia.
Last week Electric Guard Dog’s CEO Jack DeMao and crew went to Orlando to attend a perennial favorite: the National Auto Auction Association Convention. NAAA represents more than 335 auto auctions both domestic and international, with more than 8.7 million units sold each year, and the convention has been taking place since 1948.
United Rentals' Customer Appreciation Golf Tournament was in full swing as our own Mike Thompson joined UR customers and fans for golf, good times and great weather in Seattle. The event was a big success: 18 teams turned out at Washington National Golf Course.
The 33rd annual Idealease meeting took place in Scottsdale, Arizona. Idealease, Inc., a nationally renowned commercial truck lease and rental company, celebrated this year’s event with the theme “ONE Idealease.” Dan Murphy, Idealease President and CEO, explained, “Our meeting includes a celebration of our success in 2015, our programs and growth plans for the coming year, and importantly, recognition of our top Idealease sales, service and management professionals who daily demonstrate our expertise, responsiveness and stability to our customers as ONE Idealease.”
ISCPO is a conference and trade show tailored to promote security in the global supply chain. Providing training and education on issues important to manufacturers, retailers, distributors, logistics and legal/law enforcement sectors since 2011, this year’s show included some fascinating speakers.
ARI (formerly part of ATRI Association) recently hosted their second annual show for their members. The association is designed to support and protect the rights of auto dismantlers in Indiana, as well as resolve issues regarding new compliance regulations and evolving car technology.
